3rd National Student Archaeology Congress of the Department of Mediterranean Studies, entitled “Mediterranean: Relationships from Prehistoric to the Byzantine period”

We would like to invite you to the 3rd National Student Archaeology Congress of the Department of Mediterranean Studies, entitled “Mediterranean: Relationships from Prehistoric to the Byzantine period”, which will be held in Rhodes 13 to 15 March 2015, in the Multi-Purpose Hall, Kleovoulos building of Aegean University. University of the Aegean Egyptological Research Group (www.aegeanegyptology.gr) will be represented by Mrs Electra Apostola & Mr Gregorios Kontopoulos with lectures entitled “Aegyptiaka in Archaic Greece: The multiple connotations of faience amulets and figurines representing Egyptian deities” and “Allies or foes? Aspects of the Egyptian ideology towards their Near Eastern neighbors” respectively.
